# Backup

You can import or export encrypted configuration files to your Local PC.

Export the file on the **System > Maintenance > Others** interface. The supported file format is TGZ/CONF/CFG.

- **Config File**: Click **Export** to export configuration items as an encrypted file; click **Import** to import a configuration file to the device. The Config File is used to back up and restore device **configuration settings** only. It does not include user data and contact data.

> Note
> 
> - If the device has an SD card inserted, you can also use it for backup.
> - Tap **Advanced > Backup & Restore** on the device screen and choose to back up All Data or Only User Data:
>   - All Data: Include user, group schedule data, and configuration data, exclusive of all types of logs.
>   - Only User Data: Include user and schedule data.
> - SDHC and SDXC SD cards with FAT32 format are supported.
