Configure Auto-Answer for Calls on Door Phones

Auto-answer feature enables Akuvox door phones to pick up calls automatically. This feature saves time when users have to handle a large volume of calls.

All Akuvox door phones support this feature. In this article, we take R29 for example.

Enable Auto-Answer for SIP Calls

Before using auto-answer for SIP calls, make sure the device's SIP account is registered or the device is connected to Akuvox SmartPlus cloud.

1. Log into the device's web interface with the username and password. The default is admin.
2. Go to Account > Advanced > SIP Account section. Select the registered SIP account to apply the auto-answer feature.

3. Scroll down, and tick the box of Auto Answer.

4. Click Submit to save the configuration.

Enable Auto-Answer for IP Calls

Before using auto-answer for IP calls, make sure that the calling and called devices are within the same local network.

1. Log into the device's web interface with the username and password. The default is admin.
2. Go to Account > Advanced > Call interface. Tick the box of Auto Answer.

3. Go to Phone > Call Feature > Direct IP interface to make sure the direct IP call feature is enabled. It is enabled by default.

Optional Configuration

You can configure auto-answer delay time and mode by navigating to Phone > Call Feature > Auto Answer interface.

• Auto Answer Delay determines how many seconds it will take the door phone to answer the call. If you set it as 3, the door phone will answer the call after 3 seconds.
• Mode determines the door phone answers the call in audio or video way.
