# ETS Download Error: Connection Closed

## Symptom

A download error message similar to “Connection closed by remote device x.x.x” is shown.

## **Cause**

This error indicates a communication link issue, where the connection between the device and the bus interface has timed out, preventing a successful download.

## **Solution**

1. Try downloading again.
2. If you use an IP interface, check and ensure the network connection is stable.
3. If the issue persists, replace the bus interface and retry the download.
