# ETS Download Error: Internal Device Error

## Symptom

A download error message similar to “Internal device error” is shown.

## **Cause**

This error indicates a communication link issue, where the connection between the device and the bus interface has timed out, preventing a successful download.

## **Solution**

1. Try downloading again.
2. Try connecting your computer directly to your router with an Ethernet cable and redownload.
3. If you use an IP interface, check and ensure the network connection is stable.
4. If the issue persists, replace the bus interface and retry the download.
