# ETS Download Error: Connection Timeout

## Symptom

A download error message similar to “Timeout connecting to x.x.x” is shown.

## **Cause**

This error indicates a communication link issue, where the connection between the device and the bus interface has timed out, preventing a successful download.

## **Solution**

1. Try downloading again.
2. If you use an IP interface, check and ensure the network connection is stable.
3. If the issue persists, replace the bus interface and retry the download.
