How to Customize Door Phone Display

Scenario

You can customize the text shown on LCD of R27 or R28 to meet the application scenarios better. For example, when using R28 as entry keypad and you want to guide the visitor to dial the property manager, you can display "Press Call Button" so that everyone knows he needs to press call button to dial to property manager.

On the device web interface, navigate to Intercom>Advanced.

Operation Instruction

• All configurations can be done on the web GUI of Akuvox door phone: R27V1, R27V2 and R28.

• Operations mentioned in this documentation are suitable for the firmware higher than R27v1(27.30.5.1), R27V2(227.30.2.118) and R28(28.30.2.233).

Operation Procedure

R27V1&R27V2:

1. Enable LCD Text and then enter the context you want to display on LCD on LCD Text.
2. LCD Text Enable: Switch this feature.
3. LCD Text: Display context.

R28:

1. Switch LCD Display to Text Only and then enter the context you want to display on LCD.
2. LCD Display: To switch LCD display mode between Default, Hide Contacts, Text Only and Contacts Only. When on Default, R28 displays default menu including Call, Contacts, PIN Entry and Security Center.
3. When on Hide Contacts, R28 displays only Call, PIN Entry and Security Center. When on Text Only, R28 displays customized text. When on Contacts Only, R28 shows only Contacts.
4. LCD Text: Enter the context you want to show on the LCD of R28, when LCD Display is on Text Only mode, it will be shown on the LCD of R28.
