How to Set Up Radar-enabled Motion Detection for Security on S539 Door Phone

Scenario

Early warning is the key to security in a community or a single-family home.  And the door phone at the gate or entrance serves a first-level protection against property loss, vandalism, burglary, potential harm to the residents, and so on. So, if both users and property managers can be notified of potential dangers as soon as a suspicious movement is detected in front of the door phones, they can take quick actions to better protect themselves and their properties, or avoid potential dangers and injuries.  Akuvox has come up with radar-enabled motion detection to send you early warning of potential risk through multiple types of actions that followed. For example, a call to users and property managers, an alarm siren go off, a snapshot of the suspicious person, and so on.

Operation Instruction

This feature is applicable to S539 Door Phone.

Operation Procedure

1. Go to Surveillance> Motion > Motion Options.
2. Select Radar Detection 
3. Set up radar detection.
   • Set the radar trigger time interval (0-120 seconds). The default is 10 seconds. For example, if you set it as 30 seconds, then the object or a person stays there for a continuous 30 seconds, and the radar will be triggered for certain actions.
   • Set the radar detection range (1-3 meters).  The default is 3 meters. For example, if you select 3, the radar will be able to detect the approaching objects 3 meters away.
   • Set the radar detection accuracy (0-6), the default is 3. The higher the values are, the higher accuracy will be.

4. Select the actions following the triggered radar.

• If you want to send an HTTP URL to a preset server for certain action, select HTTP, then enter the HTTP URL.
• If you want to trigger a relay to set off the alarm that is connected to it, select the relay (A/B/C).
• If you want to trigger actions (FTP, Email, SIP Call, TFTP), select any one of them. Then go to Setting > Action to set up actions.

5. Set up Radar motion detection validity date and time.
