# Smart Parking in Commercial Projects

The smart parking solution allows you to register license plates or UHF cards for users on the Smart Access Cloud. Users can drive in/out with doors open automatically.

Furthermore, you can manage parking lots by viewing the number of parked vehicles and their parking duration on the cloud, conveniently tracking what happens.

Both installers and project managers have permission to set up this feature.

## Register License Plates or UHF Cards

Akuvox offers two main ways to identify vehicles and open gates.

- Use [a third-party LPR(License Plate Recognition) camera](/v1/docs/integration-with-milesight-lpr-camera-for-door-opening) to recognize the license plate of the vehicle.
- Use the [Akuvox long-range card reader ACR-CPR12](/v1/docs/akuvox-vehicle-access-control-configuration) to recognize the UHF card attached to the vehicle's windshield.

## Create a Parking Lot

1. Log in to the cloud with your account.
2. Click **Smart Parking > Parking Lot** in the left column.
3. Click **New** on the right to create a new parking lot.

1. Name the parking lot.
2. [Optional]Upload the **Parking Lot Logo**. Requirements are **a square image, ≥200x200px**, supported formats: JPG/JPEG/PNG/BMP.
3. Select the Door Mode:

- **Single Door**: For example, the cloud will record the first recognition as “Entry” and the second as “Exit”.
- **Multiple Doors:** Define which door is the entry and which is the exit.

1. Click Submit.

After creating the parking lot, you can view the number of parked vehicles.

## Mark Vehicles Exited Manually

1. Click **Smart Parking > Parking Lot**.

1. Click ![](https://cdn.document360.io/f09a6106-e976-455e-b2d0-3d88b5385960/Images/Documentation/image-VSWHKB4C.png) in the **Actions** column to manually mark that the vehicle has left the parking lot.

## View Vehicle Logs

1. Click **Smart Parking > Parking Lot**.
2. Click![](https://cdn.document360.io/f09a6106-e976-455e-b2d0-3d88b5385960/Images/Documentation/image-9Q4CW0AO.png) of the target parking lot.
3. Click **Vehicle Log,** where you can:

- Check the vehicle entry/exit time and parking duration.
- Click the image in the **Entry** and **Exit Capture** columns to view the snapshots.
- Click **Export** to download logs.
