Article Summary

You need to upload a TLS certificate before applying for a SIP account from a SIP or a DNS server using the TLS protocol. This certificate is essential for server authentication.

The article uses R20A V5.0 as an example.

Note

Make sure you have prepared the certificate and enable the SIP server.

  1. Log into the door phone’s web interface with the username and password. The default is admin.

  2. Navigate to the Security > Advanced > SIP Server Certificate interface.

  3. Click Browse to import the file from your local PC and click Submit.

The TLS 1.2 protocol is used for registration by default and the TLS 1.0 protocol will go invalid.

Note

The uploaded SIP Server Certificate must correspond to the server. Each built server has its own certificate. For example, the certificate shown in the pciture is the certificate of Bruin’s server.

  1. Navigate to the Account > Basic > Transport Type interface and select TLS.

  1. Click Submit to save the configuration.

  2. Do the same to upload the certificate to the indoor monitor on its Security > Advanced > Web Server Certificate interface.

Indoor monitors without this configuration option will use the Akuvox built-in certificate.

  1. Select TLS as the transport type on the Account > Basic > Transport Type interface.
