# Understand akubela Firmware Versions

This guide explains how to identify and interpret akubela firmware versions for panels running **Solution V4.0.0 and later**, as well as BelaHome app versions.

## Part 1: Understanding Software Versions

### Firmware Version Format

> [!NOTE]

>
> - The number of digits in each segment may vary.
> - The minor version number may be omitted.

***Example 1:***

- 51 → Product ID for PS51 (HyPanel)
- 1 → Vendor ID for akubela
- 40 → Major Version V4.0
- 43 → Iteration 43 (no minor version)

| **Vendor ID** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| 0 | Akuvox |

### Solution Version Mapping

Solution versions use the following format: [x].[x].[y]

- The first two digits correspond to the **Major Version**.
- The last digit corresponds to the **Minor Version** portion of the last firmware segment.

> [!NOTE]
> **NOTE:**
>
> This mapping rule applies exclusively to solution versions V4.0.0 and later. For cross-reference maps of older firmware or complex builds, contact akubela technical support.

***Example mapping:***

| **Solution Version** | **Major Version** | **Minor Version** | **Firmware Version Example** |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| V4.0.0 | V4.0 | - | 51.1.40.42 |
| V4.0.1 | V4.0 | 1 | 71.1.40.115 |

## Part 2: Understanding BelaHome App Versions

Mobile apps for both iOS and Google Play use the following format:

[Major Version].[Minor Version].[Iteration]

***Examples:***

- Version 2.1.3 → Solution 2.1, iteration 3
- Version 3.0.57 → Solution 3.0, iteration 57

> [!NOTE]
> **NOTE:**
>
> App versions do not contain an embedded Vendor ID. Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) variants are identified strictly by the app name and package name.
