Configure Speed Dial on MD06/MD12

MD06/MD12 are expansion units that can be connected to R20K/B door phones. Users can make speedy calls by pressing the key on the module.
Note
ONLY the door phone with the firmware version 320.30.10.116 or higher supports this feature.
Connect MD06/MD12 and the R20 Door Phone
The expansion module can be powered by a 12-volt power supply or the door phone.
Powered by 12V Power Adapter
Connect the module to the door phone via RS485 ports.
Connect the power adapter to the module.
Power up the devices and insert the Ethernet cable into the door phone.
Powered by the Door Phone
Connect the module to the door phone via RS485 ports.
Connect the power adapter to the door phone.
Power up the door phone and insert the Ethernet cable into it.
Use the door phone’s IP to log into its web interface with the username and password. The default is admin.
Go to Intercom > Relay > 12V Power Output interface. Select Always as the power output mode.
Click Submit to save the settings.
Connect Two or More Modules
You can connect one module to another via the RS485 ports.
To power up the second module, insert its power input wires into the first module's power output ports.
After correct wiring, power on devices and connect the door phone to the network.
The indicator lights on the module and door phone will be on.
Configuration on the Web Interface
Then, you need to set up the speed dial number(s) on the device’s web interface.
Log into the device’s web interface with the username and password. The default is admin.
Navigate to the web Intercom > Extension Unit interface.
Customize the key name, usually the callee's name.
Enter the called device’s IP or SIP number.
Make sure the RS485 Mode is set to Others on the Device > RS485 interface.
Click Submit to save the configuration.
You can click Locate Module to find the device when the device is in a dark environment. Its key light will flash three times.
After configuration, users can make calls to target contacts by pressing the corresponding key on the module.
Configuration on the SmartPlus Cloud
When the door phone is deployed on the SmartPlus Cloud, you can set up the expansion unit on the Cloud.
Note
The door phone’s firmware version should be 320.30.10.236 or higher.
Log into the SmartPlus Cloud platform with an installer or property manager account.
Navigate to where the device is deployed. Take a community project as an example.
For property managers, click Devices on the left column.
Click
of the target device.
Click Push Button Setting.
Click the target expansion unit and click the desired button to select the contact.
Click Submit.
The contact will receive the call when users press the speed dial button.
