Brief Instructions on Using SmartPlus App

This manual contains key features of the SmartPlus App, guiding you to use the SmartPlus App based on version 7.20.0003(Android)/7.20.3(iOS).

App Download

You can download the app on the Google Play Store or App Store.

Login

You will receive a Welcome email from Akuvox after your installer or property manager registers a SmartPlus Account for you.

Use the information in the email to log in to the app.

  1. Select Enduser.

  2. Fill in your email address and password.

  3. Tap Login.

If you forget your password, tap Forgot Password to reset the password via your email or SMS.

Door Access

Unlock on Homepage

Note

If your property manager does not enable the unlock feature for you, the Unlock button will be hidden.

Tap Unlock on the homepage.

Create Temp Keys

You can create temporary keys for door opening.

  1. Tap Temp Key on the homepage.

  2. Tap + in the upper-right corner.

  3. Enter the username and ID number.

  4. Select the Repeat Mode, which defines how this key can be repeatedly used.

  5. Select Each Door Counts. This option is available for Never Repeat Mode. It defines how many times the key can be used for each door.

  6. Select the door(s) to be opened.

  7. Specify the time of using the key.

  8. Tap Submit.

 

After creating the key, use the QR code or key code to open the door.

Demonstration Video

Register Face ID

You can enroll your face data for door opening.

  1. Tap Me on the bottom > Authorization > Face Recognition.

  2. Tap Get Started to enroll your face data; or, tap Choose From Album to upload a clear and front-view face photo from your mobile phone.

 

Create PIN Codes

You can set a private PIN code for door opening.

  1. Tap Me on the bottom > Authorization > Door Release PIN > +Add PIN.

  2. Enter the 6 to 8 digits PIN.

  3. Select the door(s) to be opened.

  4. Tap Submit.

 

Add RF Cards

  1. Tap Me on the bottom > Authorization > RF Cards > + in the upper-right corner.

  2. Enter the RF card code.

  3. Select the user who uses the card.

  4. Tap Submit.

 

Unlock by NFC

With NFC-featured mobile phones, you can open doors by moving your phone close to the device’s card reader area.

Note

ONLY Android mobile phones support the NFC door-opening feature.

  1. Tap Me on the bottom > Authorization.

  2. Enable NFC Unlock.

  3. Turn on the NFC feature in your phone. The configuration varies by mobile phone brand. Please refer to the phone manuals for instructions.

Unlock via Bluetooth

Note

  • The supported Bluetooth Unlock Mode varies by model. For example, E12 does not support hands-free mode.

  • Click here to view model compatibility.

  1. Tap Me on the bottom > Authorization.

  2. Enable Bluetooth Unlock.

  3. Choose the desired Bluetooth Unlock Mode.

  • Shake: Open the door by shaking the mobile phone near the door phone.

  • Hands Free: Open the door when the mobile phone is near the door phone.

  • Tap as Card: Open the door by placing the mobile phone on the door phone’s card reader area.

Calling

Note

If your property manager does not enable the intercom call feature for you, the Call button will be hidden.

Tap Call on the homepage.

Set up Landline Numbers

Note

  • The landline service enables the communication between intercom devices and mobile phones/telephones.

  • If this service is disabled by your installer, this option is not available.

  1. Tap Me on the bottom > Settings > Call Settings > Landline.

  2. Choose the correct Country/Region code.

  3. Enter up to three landline numbers.

  4. Tap Submit.

Set up Contact Preference

Only with the family master account can you set up this feature.

  1. Tap Me on the bottom > Settings > Call Settings > Contact Preference.

  2. Select the desired call type.

  • Group Call: When visitors press the call button on the door phone, indoor monitors and SmartPlus Apps will both receive the call.

  • Sequence Call: When visitors press the call button on the door phone, calls will be made to the selected numbers in sequence.

  1. When Sequence Call is selected, specify the Ring Time, which determines the duration before calling the next number when the previous call is not answered.

  2. Select number(s) to be called.

  3. Tap Submit.

Monitor

You can view the live stream from the door phone to monitor situations around your door.

Tap Monitor on the homepage.

Create Family Member Accounts

With the family master account, you can create family member accounts.

  1. Tap Me on the bottom > Family Members > +New Family Member.

  2. Enter the username and email address.

  3. Additionally, you can enter the member’s mobile phone and landline numbers.

  4. Tap Submit.

Messages and Notifications

You can receive messages from your property manager and notifications from devices, such as when the temp key is used and a tamper alarm is triggered.

Tap on the homepage. The number of unchecked messages will display next to .

 

Change Account Information

  1. Tap Me on the bottom > [Your account name].

  2. You can change the username, email address, mobile number, and password.
