Unlock Yale Smart Lock

The integration of the Yale smart lock with SmartPlus enhances home security and access control. You can securely unlock the smart lock remotely using the SmartPlus App and various access methods.

Note

• The SmartPlus App version should be 4.0.6.2(Android)/4.4.6(iOS) or higher.

• This feature is available in the following countries:

  • Turkey, Israel, Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

• Support Yale Assure Lock 1 and Lock 2.

• NOT available for commercial projects.

Add the Yale Smart Lock

1. Tap Me > Device Management > Third-party Devices.

2. Tap in the upper right corner.  

3. Tap Add and enter the Email Address and Password of your Yale Smart Lock account.

4. Tap Sign In.

5. Enter the verification code sent to your mobile phone number that is associated with your Yale Smart Lock account.

6. Agree on the Terms and Services. A prompt will inform you whether the lock is added successfully.

Set up the Lock

After adding the lock, the lock will be displayed on the homepage of the SmartPlus App and the Third Party Devices list.

1. Tap Me > Device Management > Third Party Devices > Yale > [The Lock Name].

2. You can:

• change the lock name;

• link it to a relay of a door phone;

• remove the lock by tapping Unbind Yale Account.

Note

• Whether the lock is linked to relays determines how the lock is unlocked.

• See the Unlock the Lock section for details.

Tip

• If a Yale lock is connected to a door/window sensor in the Yale app, the sensor's status shows in the top right corner.

• If connected to multiple sensors, their statuses will not display.

• A low battery notification will appear at the top of the screen when the Yale lock battery is low, which you can tap for details.

  

Unlock the Lock

The Lock Is not Linked

When the lock is not linked to a relay, it will display on the homepage.

You can directly tap to lock or unlock it.

The Lock is Linked

When the lock is linked to the relay(s) of a door phone, the lock will be unlocked with the relay trigger and it will not display on the homepage of the SmartPlus App.

Note

You can ONLY link the lock to relays of the door phone that is installed at your apartment door if you are a community resident.

Unlock on the SmartPlus Homepage

You can tap to open the door phone’s relay. At the same time, the Yale lock is unlocked.

Tap Unlock on the Calling and Monitoring page to unlock the Yale lock.

Unlock by the Door Phone Supported Methods

You can use the device-supported access methods for unlocking.

Note

• The access methods supported by the device vary by model. For example, some models do not support opening doors via Bluetooth.
